Wolverine Gets One Thing Right

At least they acknowledged that he was Canadian – though it was funny to have the open seen set in the Northwest Territories in Canada in the 1840s. There was the province of Canada, but it certainly did not control what would become the Northwest Territories.

  1. But it was called NWT at that time, no? And it extended into AB, SK, and MB where it was once Rupert’s Land.

  2. I think the preferred term was Rupert’s Land, but it was administered directly from Britain while the province of Canada consisted of Ontario and Quebec and no part of the NWT. So it could be one or the other but not both.
